Week one of our Kids and Teens camp will loaded with fun arts and crafts. We will have a Beach/Pirate day theme this year. Each week will also have a trip on the city bus to Sinsheimer pool for some lunch and a chance to catch some rays and splash in the pool. There will be a movie day with popcorn witharts and crafts available this whole day along with a viewing of as many "Pirates of the Caribbean" Movies as we can get through. This is only the first week for camp, but our Friday will have a trip into town to go bowling at Mustang lanes or maybe even down to Pismo Beach. Ready, Set, BOWL!
Week two of our Kids and Teens camp will be packed with more arts and crafts. We will also have a fun trip back to Sinsheimer pool for another cool dip on a hot day. We may even have a visit from our Arts for Living Music teachers. This will be the last week for this year, so we will be ending our camp with a SPLASH! Going out to THE RAVINE on Friday. Bring your swim suits and trunks and lets get to splashing!
The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is the best seaside park in the world. They are renowned for their great rides, remarkable history, spectacular beach setting, and super friendly attitude.
Since opening in 1907, and it hasn’t missed a beat! They continue to provide affordable family fun - that’s why admission is free, with often free summer entertainment included. They also have super fun rides with affordable ticket prices.
Two of the rides are National Historic Landmarks, but don’t let that fool you. The 1924 Giant Dipper wooden roller coaster still thrills riders with its hair-raising dips and turns and the Looff Carousel's unique ring toss provides a surprising challenge. For those who love to bowl, there's also a family bowling center right across the street.
My number one love, like with many people, I visit just for the food. Choices include corn dogs made from a secret family recipe, deep fried artichokes, chocolate covered bacon. Who wouldn't want to go?
Looking forward to this trip for sure! Hope you all can make it. =)
This trip is going to be amazing. Full of as many fun outings as we can handle. We plan to visit as many monuments and museums as we can. The wonderful thing about this destination is that Washington, DC is one of the most accessible cities in the world, and the city’s hospitality industry stands ready to welcome visitors with special needs.
The Washington D.C. Metro prides itself on being one of the most accessible public transportation systems in the world. Come along with us and see all that there is to see. This trip is going to be one to remember.
This event is SOLD OUT. Please call Kristine to be added to the wait list if you would like the chance to attend. The wait list does not guarantee a space, but if one opens we do add on a first come first serve basis. So get signed up early and don't miss the chance to join us for the fun!
Who doesn't love the chance to see a show where being quiet is "Optional". The Melodrama is the chance for everyone to yell, shout and cheer for the actors on the stage. You are even encouraged to boo and hiss when you see the villains. The louder you are the more energy they have on stage.
The show we are set up to go see is called, "Drac in the Saddle Again" Here is the story in short:
Dracula heads to the Wild West for new blood in this spoof of the low-budget horror and western movies of 1960’s. When the vampire Count arrives in dusty Tombstone (where else!) only our hero, the white-suited Guy With No Name, stands between him and his evil conquests. With a housekeeper named Consuela del Frankenstein, you know something terrible, and terribly funny, is being cooked up in the kitchen! You’ll scream with laughter!
Hope you got on the list in time! This event is SOLD OUT! Come on out and sing and shout with us at the Melodrama.
